DEARBORN — On Monday, city officials authorized the spending of $8,600 to repair water leaks at Crowley Pool.

The following is a personal review of the Chanson Miracle Water Ionizer. This compact unit sits on the counter top and provides seven varieties of water at the push of a button.

Here are my favorite aspects of this water ionizer machine:

Easy Installation

It took about ten minutes to install this machine. The directions were simple to follow, and a CD was enclosed in the box which clearly showed how to properly install it. Chanson also has a website where customers can follow a detailed installation videos.

Features

The ionizer is relatively small in size measuring 11 inches high, 9 inches wide, and 5 inches deep (can be wall mounted or just left on the counter near the sink).

There is an LCD display which shows the time of day and which also changes color when the self-cleaning process needs to be performed.

The outlet pipe is where the water comes out of the machine after being processed. This is a flexible tube that is easily moved - a great feature when filling a stock pot with large volume of water. I can leave the pot on the counter and swing the arm around to fill it.

A diverter switch on the sink faucet easily moves up to activate the machine and turns down to return to normal water flow in the sink.

Seven Levels of Water

A benefit of this machine is the variety of water it produces. There are seven different levels that are accessed by pushing the appropriate button on the unit.

Four levels of alkaline water allow the user to gradually adjust to this healthier water. Alkaline 1 should be used for the first few days, then Alkaline 2 for a few more days, then Alkaline 3 which has the highest PH level can be used after the getting used to period. Strong Alkaline water is great for cleaning fruit and vegetables, but is too strong for drinking water and should not be consumed.

Below the Alkaline water is a button for Clean water. This drinking water is for taking medicine and preparing milk for babies.

Acid Water is good for toning and firming the skin. It should not be used as drinking water.

Highly Acid water is used as an anti-bacterial and can be used for floor cleaning, dish cleaning, stain removal, and other household cleaning functions. We suggest putting Highly Acid water into a spray bottle for everyday cleaning.

Voice Notifications

This machine talks to you! There are voice announcements which automatically tell you which stage of water the system is using. The machine also lets you know when it needs to be cleaned.

Self Cleaning

A simple push of a button activates the cleaning process. This takes place with the water running and the diverter switch in the "up" position. The machine's voice continually announces that the cleaning is in process and then alerts you when cleaning is completed. The whole cleansing process takes less than a minute.

Affordable and Reliable

One of the best features of having this machine is that I no longer spend money on household cleaners. The Highly Acid water is great as a natural cleaner for the kitchen, bathroom, and floors in the house. I also spray it on appliances including the washing machine, dryer, microwave oven, and refrigerator.

It has been six months since I bought this portable water ionizer, and I have not had to buy bottled water, have not replaced any filters, and have not purchased household cleaners or detergents.

In my opinion, this Chanson Water Ionizer is a great investment!
