Does leaving the tap water in an open container allow the chlorine to evaporate?
Before filtering tap water with the Brita pitcher, I let it stand in an open jar for up to 9 hours. Will this water contain much less chlorine after 9 hours compared to fresh water from the tap?
Yes. Leaving it overnight will allow the chlorine to escape from it.
Another way is to boil it and then let it cool.
