RO water filtered question?
I bought an RO filter from http://www.purewaterclub.com/ for both drinking and aquarium. When I collected the water in an old plastic 5 gallon bottle like this http://www.greif.com/images/secondary-products/water-bottles/H2O_Bottle_fivegal_nohandle.jpg
I never used this bottle for the long time and when it filled it up with RO water, I touched the water inside the bottle and there was static electricity. Is it the RO water that conducts static electricity or was it the old 5 gallon bottle the issue? Is it safe to use the water?
You built up the static electricity. The water is a ground, so when you touched it you released the electricity. Yes that water is safe to use.
