Why does a brand new Samsung 40" LCD TV emit 'humming' sound when screen goes black.?

Samsung Model 4061. Noise occures when changing channels, commercial breaks, stopping the DVD player. Any time the screen goes black the noise occurs. Once the picture lights up, noise goes away. Has nothing to do with speakers or volume. Happens with or without MUTE on. Not obnoxious noise, just there and am not sure if it should be. Have already exchanged TV once with same results. Have power filter as well and have isolated TV from all other components. Still hums. Any ideas?
