Is A Whole House Water Filter Purifier Necessary?

 

Is a whole house water filter purifier really necessary? Scientists have identified a lot of contamination in our water supply.  This has caused many people to consider a a water filter purifier if not a whole house water purifier.  Is this type of large scale water filter purifier a necessity, or is it simply more security than you need?  To help you to decide read what my research has revealed about our in home water.

Whole House Water Purifier-OverKill?

A whole house water purifier may seem like a bit of overkill for many.  But it does offer you certain benefits that point of use appliances cannot offer you such as blocking impurities that enter you household through your washing machine and dishwasher.  Now since these areas do not involve human water consumption people don't see the point in covering these avenues, but there is an important reason for doing so.

Chloroform Gas Released Into the Home

The reason that a water filter purifier that will defend these areas is a sound idea is that chlorine byproduct THMs transfer back to their original state when they make contact with the air.  This means that every time that you wash your clothes, or do a load of dishes you are releasing chloroform gas into your home, which remains for quite some time.  You don't want your family to inhale this gas on an everyday basis.

With that being said if you still believe that a whole house water purifier may possibly be more coverage than you and your family need there are other choices that you can make.  You are probably already aware that there are high quality point of use purifiers for both countertop, and under the counter installation that will keep your family's drinking water safe.

Singing in the Shower or Vaporizing in It?

What you may not be aware of however is that there is also a water filter purifier for your shower.  You may not realize the importance of a showerhead filter from the outset, but if I told you that by inhaling the vapors that form in your shower every morning you are ingesting up to 6,000 times more chlorine into your body than you would get from drinking unfiltered water throughout the day then you would probably see things differently.

A Little Chlorine for Your Teeth?

That is another reason that a whole house water purifier may be the ideal choice for you.  Not only would your family be protected from chlorine ingestion while showering, but you would get the added benefit of knowing that your children would be protected even when brushing their teeth.  Of course, you could put another countertop filter on every bathroom faucet. That brings about real peace of mind when you are that secure.

Whichever type of water filter purifier system you choose in order to protect your family's health it is imperative that you install one as soon as you possibly can.  Whether simply covering the specific areas that you feel are the most important, or covering your entire home for additional safety as long as you're doing something is what counts.
