It forms an effective unitized end cap and gasket. The overall seam is sonically welded. This provides it with improved filtration efficiency. The pleated design ensures that the cartridge get the maximum dirt holding capacity. Moreover it can be easily cleaned and reused several times. Additionally the durable polyester media is resistant to most chemicals and bacteria ensuring that it is hardly damaged with such contaminants.
