• If the red light came on after installing, try taking off the upper lid, the module, then fit them back carefully to ensure everything is in place.
• Still having problem installing, call 1-800-253-6500 and ask for someone in the eSpring department. These folks are very helpful over the phone and can normally guide you through if you have any trouble putting it all together.

At work we have an old 9 volt dewalt drill and we sometimes use 12 or 14 volt batteries on it and it seems to work fine. I own a black and decker firestorm 12 volt drill.

Basically, the windings and armature of each drill is set for the voltage that is marked on it. Yes, a higher battery will make it work, but you are ruining the drill motor and your warrenty is completely void. As soon as they open it, they will know what happened and why.
