How often have you got a problem with your hot tub water? Most hot tub chemicals cause problems because of improper diagnosis with test strips. Some people think that they will get an accurate prognosis of what is wrong with the water in the hot tub or spa simply by dipping them into the water.

Maybe you can solve this problem by your own way. Most important, you need to know the steps to be taken; to fix the water problem and you should be aware of how to diagnose this problem correctly. Here are possible solutions to the problems of water chemistry in the spa or hot tub you need to consider.

1. Make sure that the water in the spa or hot tub is safe. In order for you and your family can use the hot tub safely recommended to reduce the water at a low point.

2. Make sure you buy the chemicals for hot tub from the best stores. Get them in a clean condition. Read the details of chemicals and expire date contained in the package before you actually put into the hot tub.

3. You have to make sure and also test the chlorine levels that they fall within the range of 3 to 5 mg per liter. This is the dose required for each hot tub. Checking and testing the pH level if they are between the range of 7,2-7,6. If not, then you must enable the pH content of the hot tub and meet these figures. If the water foams, then you can use the anti-foam.

4. The oxidizing agents such as non-chlorine or calcium hypochlorite must be put in a hot tub once every week. These clean the filter. You should also have spare filters which you can use every time you dry one. Once you clean them, make sure that the filter fibers are bound together.

Here are the things that must be considered if you have a hot tub

1. Alkalinity

This alkalinity problem will depend on where you get water. Always check whether fresh water has been added as an ideal alkalinity ranged from 125 to 500 mg per liter. The water doesn't fluctuate if this stay in this range. The water causes damage and becomes corrosive on the equipment if it drops but you can use the product PH plus to increase the alkaline level. However, if the alkaline level is higher than ideal, then the scales slowly form and the water is not clear, therefore you can use pH minus to reduce this.

2. Calcium Hardness

You have to get the right calcium level in the water. The source of water, like where you get your supply and where you live, will determine the level of calcium. Hard water has higher calcium while soft water has low calcium. You have to check the calcium level, each time you refill the tub with water. For every liter, ideally, an appropriate calcium level for the tub ranges between 100 and 200 mg. Damage or corrosion will occur if the calcium level in the tub is less than this. Then use products such as the Hot Tub Hardness Plus if you find that the level of calcium is lower than the range mentioned. This will increase the calcium level up to the ideal. The results will be cloudy water if the level of your hot tub is way above than the ideal.

3. PH level

You should check the hot tub ph level on a regular basis, it is very important. You can buy Test Strips at the drugstore, the ideal range of 7.4 to 7.6. The alkaline provides an ideal condition and protects the equipment. Use the Test Strips that you can buy over the counter at your local drug stores. Ideally, the pH range equates 7.4 up to 7.6. The alkaline protects the equipment and provides an ideal condition for the users because of its sanitizing effect.

So, you should pay attention to the problem of water in your hot tub because it will be related to your health.

Many would still find the title of this article on chlorine water filter somehow weird. Why would anyone still filter a drinking water already chlorinated? Let us find out why.

Briefly about chlorine

Chlorine was introduced in the 1890's as a water disinfectant. It was first used in Europe where water-borne diarrheal diseases were then prevalent. Later, this technique of purifying water with chlorine was introduced to the United States in 1920.

Chlorine is chemically considered as a poison. In fact, it was used as a primary chemical reactant of the earliest versions of chemical weapons in Europe during the First World War.

Ill effects of chlorinated water

Dr. Joseph Price was one of the earliest scientists to study the harmful effects of using chlorine as a biological disinfectant in drinking water in the United States. In the 1960's, he published a book, entitled "Coronaries Cholesterol", showing findings that chlorine is the primary and essential cause of atherosclerosis.

Chlorine promotes increased production of free radicals in the body. When there are excess free radicals in the body, the smooth and normal muscles found in the arterial walls go haywire and start to mutate. This condition eventually leads to the formation of fibrous plaque that may clog or get trapped inside the arteries.

Drinking chlorinated water over an extended period is just like setting on a biological time bomb. The symptoms would not appear until after 20 years of drinking water laden with chlorine.

Medical literature is rich in research findings showing close link between chlorine in drinking water and some forms of cancer. It has already been established that chlorinated water causes bladder and rectal cancer. When chlorine reacts with the organic compounds present in the water, such as leaves, bark, sediments, etc., chlorine forms trihalomethanes (THM's). Most common forms of THM's are chloroform, bromoform, carbon tectachloride and bischlorothane. These compounds are known to encourage the growth of malignant tumor cells along the bladder and rectal walls.

Chlorine is also known to cause breast cancer. A study conducted in Hartford, Connecticut, revealed that women with breast cancers have 50-60% higher levels of organochlorides. These organochlorides are chlorination byproducts produced during water filtration processes in water utilities. Water containing chlorine also causes other major illnesses, such as heart troubles and premature senility.

Protect yourself from the harmful effects of chlorinated water. Most experts suggest using multi-stage water filters designed to eliminate chlorine in the water. Next time you buy your water filter, remember that it must be able to completely get rid of dissolved chlorine in your household water.

And now, I want to share with you one of the best water filtration system [http://www.purest-water-filters.com] that I discovered and is now happily using them for my own home and office.

As a matter of fact, I no longer worried about drinking water that is unclean and unhealthy. If you are still wondering which water filters are good for you, then come visit my site at [http://www.purest-water-filters.com] for the latest tips related to water purifiers.
